Ryan Estes Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

Fall Break

The older we get, the more fun my family has together. Granted, it doesn’t happen as often since three of us are married and three are away at college, leaving only 2 siblings at home (you do the math). But this weekend two of my brothers were home on fall break, so we all had lunch together on Sunday… some totally random pictures from the day:

My youngest brother, Dawson…

And again, chillaxin’ on the trampoline with a turtle Mark found.

Everyone had also gotten together on Friday for Estes Family Fall Fest… or at least that’s what it was supposed to be. It was raining so the bonfire was cancelled and they played Estes Family Jeopardy instead. I had a wedding so I wasn’t able to be there, but by all accounts it was a rawkin’ good time. Jack-o-lanterns were also carved, and my personal favorite was Tyler’s, who made use of the excellent stencils over at Homestarrunner.com and came away with a fair likeness of Strong Sad:

Quick shot of Tyler (for the ladies):

And the runners-up: First, Old-Timey Strong Bad (points deducted for visible marker remaining).

And second, “Guy-with-scar-on-his-face”:

October 24, 2007 - 11:07 am Becca - You guys are so funny! By any chance, were those the pumpkins left over from the 30th anniv. weekend? If so, way to recycle! I personally would have carved The Cheat.
