Ryan Estes Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

12.29.07 - Jessica & Dustin

Jess & Dustin’s wedding was the last one of the season for me, and what a great way to finish off 2007! Their families were great to be around, the day was beautiful, Jess was a real rock star when it came to pictures (Dustin held his own as well) and everything just gelled.

Super huge thanks to Joy Moody who shot this one with me. Joy’s also a photographer in Philly and really does a great job, so I was psyched when she said she’d come along.

Enough chit chat…

What else is there to say? It’s been a great year and I’m ready to start shooting for 2008!

January 11, 2008 - 12:32 am Joy Moody - right on! Awesome Ryan, fantastic images as usual. It was great shooting with you! I am going to have a nice little post for you tomorrow on my blog, so check it out.

January 11, 2008 - 12:35 am Pete Malone - Wow Ryan! Numbers 1 & 2 are superb! Great work. Let's get together soon for another "work" day! Pete

January 11, 2008 - 4:38 pm beth - That 2nd one is INCREDIBLE!!

January 13, 2008 - 6:37 am Cathy - Wow! FANTASTIC shots, as I've come to expect! Especially #15 -- the groom's hand reflected in the brass door panel. Whoa, that's really sharp! Was that set-up? Either way, it's great. Way to go, Ryan.

January 13, 2008 - 2:53 pm Ryan - Ha - thanks, but nope, that shot wasn't set up. To tell the truth, I hadn't even noticed the reflection in the door panel. :)
