Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

Franklin Institute - Larisa & Peter

On April 26 I got to spend the day with two very cool people, Larisa & Peter… it just happened to be their wedding day, and I just happened to bring along my camera :). I’m not kidding when I say that Larisa & Peter are one of my favorite couples ever… they made us feel like we were part of the family.

The day flowed smoothly thanks to the amazing Kameron McDonnell of Perfect Weddings (if you’re looking for a wedding planner, you will want to check them out) which was a good thing because we were all over the place… from the Sheraton in Philadelphia, across the bridge to the ceremony at Trinity Episcopal in Moorestown, NJ, then back to Philadelphia for an incredible reception at the Franklin Institute!

Special thanks to Ryan Goldman, who joined me for the day and got a ton of amazing shots (including some in the slideshow below)!

Yup, the Mummers were there…

Not wedding images per se, but I took these anyway. Isn’t Philly nice at night?
