Ryan Estes Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

Independence Day

Happy 4th, everyone.

For most of my life, “the Fourth of July” has simply been an excuse to get together with family, eat burgers, and watch fireworks. This year, though, Kelly and I watched HBO’s miniseries on John Adams, which was altogether excellent and gave me a rather great appreciation for the fellas who risked just about everything in signing the Declaration of Independence.

I also just found some old photos that I took right after buying my first ever digital camera…

Next week I will definitely be posting some more recent photos… :)

July 4, 2008 - 5:26 pm Jimmy DeWan - Happy 4th Ryan Kelly and sweet adorable Vienna.

July 4, 2008 - 7:41 pm Rebekah - Hey Ryan, Very cool pictures. I set your third one as my background, and it looks very cool:)

July 7, 2008 - 10:59 am nancy - amazing! i take it you used a tripod for these?

July 7, 2008 - 11:08 am Ryan - Yes, I used a tripod. I think the exposures were somewhere around 30 seconds, but this was years ago so I could be off on that.
