Ryan Estes Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

Manor House - Michelle & Brian

*whew* I’m so glad to be posting Michelle & Brian’s wedding photos, because it’s taken some WORK to get them done! Mike Landis came along to 2nd shoot for me that day, and we came away with a boatload of images.

Michelle & Brian got married at the Manor House in Horsham, which is a sweet venue. Here are a couple of handfuls of my favorite images from the day.

I love this shot of Michelle laughing at Brian.

Michelle & Brian knew the day would go quickly, and because they wanted to spend it with their family and friends, they chose to see each other before the ceremony and knock most of the shots out earlier in the day. Great idea!

Music provided by Tom & Rebecca over at Magical Sight & Sound. They’re more than just DJs… they also provided live music during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and had some fantastic lighting set up for the reception!

Thanks to Mike for getting this shot… some of the shots in the slideshow at the end are his as well.

We also snuck out to take advantage of the setting sun during the cocktail hour.

A little first dance detail…

And how cool is this — a cigar roller during the reception, courtesy of CF Dominicana.

Meanwhile, back inside the party was off the hook!

Thanks again, Michelle & Brian… you were fantastic!
