Ryan Estes Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

Talamore Country Club - Jim & Megan

Jim & Megan have probably wondered when the heck I was going to post their wedding, but now the Dark Night of Waiting is over. :)

Jim & Megan were married in Jamison, PA, and had their reception at the Talamore. If I had to describe the day in two words, those two words would be “Jim & Megan’s wedding rocked and their families were awesome and it didn’t rain (at least not when it counted) and we had a great time!”

Kids are always great for some fun shots.

One of the things I love about this job is taking a location that most people would walk right by and using it to make a great image. This was taken on the landing of the stairs at Megan’s house.

Jim had his camera with him all day. I should have paid him to be my 2nd shooter…

Jim is also really into comic books, so he made these bride & groom action figures himself…their heads come off and everything!

Thank you, Jim & Megan! I had a great day with you both!

October 1, 2008 - 7:18 am David Difuntorum - Dude, that camera/camera shot is soo clever. That last shot looks like it was taken with a TC lens.

October 1, 2008 - 3:11 pm Erin Farrell - Great job, as always! My last blog post has a very similiar "self-portrait with the point & shoot" shot! Too funny.
