You might remember this couple from their engagement session a couple months ago. Put simply, they rock, and were married in early November in Philadelphia.
It was one of those days when the weather wasn’t especially cooperative and daylight was fading fast. I wasn’t worried because not only were Jaryn & Brian simply fantastic and up for just about anything, but we also had a killer team of people working to make sure this was one of the most amazing weddings of the year! Jeannine McKnight of Jean Louise Design was on hand to make sure the day ran smoothly and she totally kicked hiney. I also had Sandor Welsh on board 2nd shooting for me that day. Sandor is a great photographer, and I was lucky to have him along.
We began the day at the Loews Hotel where Jaryn and the girls were getting ready.
Pete Malone from First Floor Films was there, capturing the day on film! (Seriously… that’s film, not video, that he’s shooting right there.)
Q: What do you do when you have to tie a bowtie and don’t know how?
A: Youtube knows everything!
Jaryn & Brian booked me because Jaryn’s sister, Kira, is a wedding photographer out in San Francisco. Kira found my website and told them to check me out. (Many thanks, Kira!) She couldn’t resist taking a few photos too…
Then it was over to St. Paul’s Catholic Church for the ceremony. Jaryn’s mom leans in for her first glimpse of Jaryn coming down the aisle.
After the ceremony we hurried into center city to make the most of the daylight we had left! I love shooting in the city like this. The flowers were gorgeous, too… that would be Carl Alan’s handiwork.
Beautiful pictures can be found in the most unlikely of locations… this was in the subway.
Who doesn’t want a shot like this? And who says you can’t shoot in the dark?!
I didn’t even notice the sign here until I was editing the images. Helicopter crash?
Back to Loews for the reception. The room was amazing! See what lighting can do for your wedding?
The party was off tha hook! Jellyroll kept the dance floor packed all night!
We snuck out for a few pictures, too.
Jaryn & Brian were rock stars that day.
They had their afterparty on the 30th floor and I grabbed this image with the city in the background. Great way to cap off a great day!
Thank you to Jaryn, Brian, their families, and everyone who worked hard to make this a fantastic event!
