Ryan Estes Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Ryan Estes Photography Blog

I'm Ryan, and you'll often find me with camera in hand.  I live and work in the greater Philadelphia area providing brides, grooms, and families with cutting-edge photography.  Here you'll find the latest images, news, and bits of this and that from Ryan Estes Photography.  Come back often -- there's a lot happening, both in my life and in those of my clients.

What sort of images can you expect to see?  That's a difficult question to answer... photojournalism + fashion, portraiture + landscape, documentary + candid... real people on the most important day of their lives, and genuine emotions shining through.

One thing is clear: these aren't your grandmother's wedding pictures.  (No offense to your grandmother, of course...)

Life at one year

I can’t believe it’s been a year since we brought this little ball o’ joy home from the hospital. They say time flies, but I didn’t think they really meant it.

Anyway, last night we gathered to celebrate, and to give V her first concentrated faceful of sugar. I’ll spare you the video, but here are some pictures…

She has absolutely no idea of the culinary delight that awaits.

A tad hesitant…

…and then, BOOYAH!

Here’s to the coming year. And the next, and all the ones after that…

April 16, 2009 - 10:22 am Joy Moody - Yeah! Happy Birthday Vienna! Love it Ryan, no bib, very brave.

April 19, 2009 - 4:25 pm nicole lenko - Oh boy, fistfuls of sugar. For some reason, little kids demolishing cakes makes me just a little bit queasy... There's something about little fingers mashing up cake and icing that's just unsettling! I have a picture of me from my first birthday with some telltale smudges of chocolate icing around my mouth, but my sensible mother is moving the plate before I can reach the cake itself. haha. V probably had more fun than I did, though. Happy birthday to the beautiful girl a few weeks late! :)

April 21, 2009 - 12:38 am Kim Johnson - argh, I had a comment all written and then lost it somehow... Anyway, love, love, love the color image of Vienna with the cake all over her hands. Great colors, and boy do her eyes pop and the moment is just awesome. Wow, 1 year old. It goes fast. Wait until the 1 decade mark -- yikes, I'm telling you it flies!!
